2022 design techniques
I chose Quintessential 1970’s for my garments. The artistic and literary revisiting of history and foreign lands by British designers Zandra Rhodes and Scottish designer Bill Gibbs. The seventies were a time of change and upheaval, many nostalgically looking to previous decades for security and design inspiration. I wanted to reflect a handcrafted aesthetic reflecting colors that reference memories of my upbringing in the Waitati.
